BEDFORD FORESTERS FUNDRAISER FOR PROJECT 229

Even the world's worst golfer doesn't take as many as 229 strokes, but Bedford charity fundraiser Chris Andrews is planning to do exactly that at Bedford and County Golf Club on Saturday 18th July.

Chris, who is a member of a new fund-raising and volunteering group called the Bedford Foresters (named after their favourite pub in Union Street) is challenging supporters to "Spot the ball" and win £100 sponsored by Lane & Holmes by pinpointing where his 229th stroke will land. By paying £10 a go, they'll be supporting Project 229. For more information about the projects being supported, see the bottom of the page.

Chris is actually a decent golfer (handicap 14) and he'll be playing three successive rounds at the Clapham course, with the 229th stroke expected to come during the third round.
